Covid-19 Policy

Excellent Nannies On Call understands the seriousness of the current pandemic and is following the guidelines recommended by the CDC, the Georgia State Dept of Health, and Governor to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are taking the following measures to limit the exposure to our Nannies and our families.

  • Nannies who test positive for COVID-19 must be free of any COVID-19 related symptoms (ie. cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) for at least 14 days in order to be assigned to work and are encouraged to stay home.
  • In the event that one of our Nannies becomes ill, they must present a negative COVID-19 test and a doctor’s note stating that they are fully recovered and no longer contagious.
  • Nannies who test negative for COVID-19 can return to work after meeting the following requirements:
    • Submit the current negative test result to ENOC.
    • Be symptom free for a full three days.
    • Every member in the Nanny’s household has also been symptom free for a full three days.
  • Nannies are strongly advised to refrain from large gatherings and are required to
wear masks in public places, when they’re unable to maintain a distance of 6’ from others not in their immediate household, and indoors when there are more than their immediate household members present.

Additionally, Excellent Nannies On Call requires that our Nannies follow the following
requirements to best care for our families.

  • Nannies will ask screening questions during their Introductory Call to each family shortly after accepting an assignment and again on the day of care. Screening questions will include:
    • Has any member of your household had any COVID-19 related symptoms (ie. cough, difficulty breathing, body aches, loss of smell, sore throat, congestion, vomiting, fever, etc.), or a contagious illness in the last 14 days?
    • Has any member of your household been in contact with anyone who’s received a positive COVID-19 test result within the last 14 days?
    • Has anyone in your home been advised or required to be quarantined due to possible exposure to the coronavirus?
  • Nannies will take their temperature on the morning of their assignment and ask that the family do the same. (A fever of 100 degrees or greater, or if anyone is feeling unwell, will result in a cancelation of care.)
  • Nannies will wear a face covering during the duration of the assignment to the best of their ability and encourage family members to do the same to the best of their ability. (We recognize that face coverings for children may be challenging and Nannies will discuss the best practices with the parents so that children are supported and nurtured to the best of their ability.)
  • Nannies will frequently wash their hands and the hands of the children in their care using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Nannies will use family-provided cleaning materials to clean and sanitize used surfaces frequently.
  • When care is outdoors, Nannies will keep the children at a distance of at least 6’ from anyone not in the family’s household.

Excellent Nannies On Call understands that families are needing extra support right now. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to provide care to families experiencing any contagious symptoms to protect our Nannies, their families, and our clients.

Please know that we are monitoring pandemic guidelines closely and are adjusting our policies as new information becomes available. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these challenging times.
